Japanese Woman Charged With Forced Molestation of BTS Jin
A shocking incident involving Jin has resurfaced as the case moves forward in court.
A Japanese woman
in her 50s has been officially indicted for unexpectedly kissing Jin during a fan event
The event took place at the
Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium,
where 1,000 fans met Jin shortly after his military discharge.
During the interaction,
she suddenly kissed
him on the cheek.
Authorities
classified this as forced
molestation under Korean law.
The woman later told investigators:
“I didn’t know this would be considered a crime.
It’s frustrating.”
Police confirmed the incident through CCTV
footage and Jin’s official statement.
The investigation took months.
The woman eventually appeared voluntarily for questioning.
Prosecutors reviewed the case and decided to
indict her without detention on December 12.
Under
Article 298 of Korea’s Criminal Act
, forced molestation can lead to:
• Up to 10 years in prison
• Or a 15 million KRW fine
Jin expressed his
intention to take legal action, according to investigators.
